The guide book provides information on anchorages, camping, hiking, beachcombing and kayaking routes with the Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska State Marine and Recreational Parks, and Kachemak Bay State and Wilderness Parks. In addition it provides detailed background information on the history, geology, and wildlife in the fjords.

The book contains 130 contemporary and historical photographs and vintage drawings and 40 detailed maps.

About the Author:

The author, David Miller, homesteaded in Day Harbor on the Kenai Peninsula outer coast after serving in the Vietnam War. He has extensively explored the Kenai Peninsula seacoast by small boat and kayak. The coastal guide material and travel tips in this book were compiled from his journals, travel logs, commercial fishing records, and recollections from more than 45 years of exploring, beachcombing, and photographing wild and remote places in the Kenai Fjords, Cook Inlet, Prince William Sound and Southeast Alaska. His articles and photographs have appeared in Alaska Magazine, Alaska Geographic, Wilderness, and other publications. David lives with his wife Anne, a marine biologist in Seward, Alaska. They also fish commercially for halibut and spend time at their homestead in Day Harbor.
