From the Author:
Kenzie's Key is aimed at middle grade readers 9 - 12 years of age. It is a story in which distressed twelve-year-old Kenzie learns that in taking care of the environment we also take care of ourselves. Much information regarding the National Key Deer Refuge and the Texas A&M research study on Key deer population management serves as background to the story. The novel provides a successful example of wildlife conservation as the endangered Key deer are expected to be downlisted to a threatened species of concern. Kenzie's Key has 14 chapters, 205 pages and includes hand drawn maps and author's notes.
