Kenzie's Key is aimed at middle grade readers 9 - 12 years of age. It is a story in which distressed twelve-year-old Kenzie learns that in taking care of the environment we also take care of ourselves. Much information regarding the National Key Deer Refuge and the Texas A&M research study on Key deer population management serves as background to the story.
