Patrick Ka'ano'i (Kaanoi) was born and raised in Hawai'i of Portuguese and Hawaiian ancestry. He's the author of Kamalamalama - The Light of Knowledge, co-author of The Hawaiian Name Book and other published articles on Hawaiian culture. Pat is also the co-founder of La Hae Hawai'i - Hawaiian Flag Day July 31st and author of the Amended Hawai'i Revised Statutes regarding the codification of the Hawaiian Flag. As a performer, musical composer and video producer, Patrick has also created a video title, The Story of the Hawaiian Flag for Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historic Site on the Big Island of Hawai'i.
