This 23-minute yoga program is specifically designed for the prevention of lower-back problems. The instructor is Larry Payne, coauthor of Yoga for Dummies. First he has you lie on your back and concentrate on breathing. Then, still lying on your back, he leads you through a series of easy movements that stretch and remove tension from the lower back. Next you roll over and lie on your stomach, continuing with easy back releasers such as the cobra, locust, and child's pose. Final stretches are done lying on your back again. The whole routine is very gentle--no contortions, no "take it to the limit," just mild stretching. If you have low-back tension at the end of the day, or if your job keeps you in one position, this video would be pleasant to use when you get home, and it's short enough to fit into busy schedules.
