John Gibbon at the LBH on June 29, 1876, near the river. Kellogg's decomposing body was still fully clothed and his handwritten notes scattered nearby, but he had been scalped and one of his ears was cut off. St. Edward Mathey buried him. Kellogg's headstone at the battlefield east of Last Stand Hill is almost certainly misplaced, as Col. Gibbons's diary indicates the body was found near the river. Signed. Seller Inventory # 6155
