About the Author

Jeremy D'Entremont is a noted lighthouse historian having produced a lighthouse video, lighthouse CD rom, provided the historical information for the Lighthouse Depot web site and he is a writer for Lighthouse Digest Magazine. He is also on the board of the American Lighthouse Foundation, a non profit group dedicated to saving lighthouses and their history.

Ken Kochel is a retired United States Army Colonel who has always had an interest in maritime history. When he found it difficult to find many lighthouses on his travells, he decided someone needed to write a travelers guide to lighthouses on the east coast. After the first three editions sold so well, he realized that he was no longer able to keep up with the strenuous work it would take to update a fourth edition. He sold the rights to the book to Lighthouse Digest Magazine and with their help and the work of researcher Jeremy D'Entremont an updated 4th edition was published.
