A note from the author

Prophecy Countdown has been publishing books about the Lord's return since 1990.  How I came to write The Kingdom is an interesting story.
 
Back when Apple's iPhones came out, my son encouraged me to buy one.  I had been use to the traditional flip phone which was basically just used for making calls.  Purchasing the iPhone was an experience that changed my life dramatically.
 
As I learned to add various apps to the phone, I ran across one for a site titled: APOD which stands for "Astronomy Picture of the Day."  Once I loaded this new app, I got in the habit of visiting the site on my phone every day.  By doing this, I came to experience an entire new perspective of who our great God truly is. I highly recommend the APOD site to everyone.  It will give you an entirely new outlook on the God of this universe.
 
As a result of this new site, I ran across a picture of our Milky Way which I came to learn is only one of several hundred billions of galaxies in the Universe that God has created.  I also realized that our Solar System is only one small part in the Milky Way.  The Universe is an immense creation that is just too vast for our minds to completely comprehend.
 
So thank you Apple for creating the iPhone.  Through it I was led to discover the APOD website where I was given an entirely new revelation of our great God who created this vast Universe.  This in turn led me on a journey into the subject of what seeking the Kingdom is all about.  The God of the Universe is offering mankind the opportunity to rule and reign with Christ in His coming Kingdom!
 
The great apostle Paul knew that people are saved completely by the marvelous grace of God:   "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 - NKJV)
 
It is important to realize that works are not required of anyone to be saved.  Salvation is a 100% free gift.  Man can do nothing to earn it and there is nothing that we can do to lose it. Salvation is completely received as a gift from God by faith in Christ.
And yet Paul also knew that he himself could be disqualified from the great prize:
 
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize...."Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize " (I Corinthians 9:24-27 - NIV).
 
Yes, even Apostle Paul knew he could be disqualified for the prize if he didn't measure up.  The prize the believer is racing for is the subject matter of this important book The Kingdom.
 
If God has led you to this book about the Kingdom my prayer is that you will have an open mind and a teachable heart that wants to learn what seeking the Kingdom of God is all about. Perhaps you will be among those who are "called, chosen, and faithful" who will participate in reigning with Christ and His coming Kingdom.
 
The burden of my heart and one of the main purposes of this book is to help believers come to know the joy of Christ's triumph in their life as they become true overcomers; qualified and ready to rule and reign with Christ in the coming Kingdom.
