Attending the Crystal Wright Packaging your Portfolio Workshop was the best investment I could have ever made for my career. As a hair stylist new to the fashion industry, I didn t really know what steps to take to enter the fashion and entertainment industries. I had a long term goal, but didn t know how to go about attaining that goal. Crystal was so specific about which steps to take in order to be successful. Some of the things that she went into detail about where so surprising to me. Among larger issues, she took time out to cover little things such as the proper way to introduce yourself, and the proper way to handle a phone call. I carry with me all the advice that she has given...and IT WORKS. No one can say that they weren t able to get results with Crystal s advice. Crystal s workshop is the blueprint to success. If you haven t made any strides in your career after attending this workshop it s because you haven t put in the work. You can t just expect to make it to the top by getting lucky or being talented. As the saying goes, Luck is preparation meeting opportunity . If you re looking to enter the Makeup Hair or Styling industries the Crystal Wright Packaging your portfolio workshop is part of the preparation. I give crystal a lot of credit for where I am today. It s been 6 months since I attended the workshop. 6 months ago I was doing hair out of my kitchen and up to date I have done a few ads, some catalog work and I was even the Key hair stylist during one of the official NYC bridal fashion week shows. THANK YOU Crystal! Naeemah Carre, Hair Stylist --Personal Letter Received
I was expecting to get some information, but I did not think it would be anything so depth as to start with professional and personal goals. I was able to take the information that I received, and actually begin to properly market myself (not just with a business card). Even though this seminar was an investment, it saved me hundreds of dollars that I would have put out to test with the wrong people, because I wasn't educated enough about the industry and how it works. Most importantly, I learned that it s not that difficult to get into this business when you have the right resources. Thank you so much Crystal! Warm Regards, Sherlley Tellusma --Personal Letter Received
Crystal Wright's workshop is an invaluable tool in helping you unravel the mystery of what steps it takes to start out in this industry. This business tries to keep people out. It can be difficult to get your foot in the door. Crystal's book and workshop helped me to get my foot in the door and showed me the steps to take to get where I want to be. Without the book, and the workshop, I would have spent years of trial and error trying to figure out the steps to take and what the industries requirements are. Because of Crystal I have been able to excel at a rapid pace. Thanks Crystal! November 18, 2011 Dear Crystal, There aren t words enough to thank you for what you have done for my career! Before I learned of you I could barely call myself a makeup artist. I had the talent but I was bumping around in the dark. Some months I didn t work at all. Then I noticed that an artist I really respected mentioned you on twitter and I started to follow you. You would give out so many helpful nuggets I had to learn more. You mentioned your book, which I instantly bought and read highlighting and marking several pages. Once I started applying what I learned, I instantly started getting better jobs. The book lays out what you need to do step-by-step. You had artists that I really admired such as Sam Fine and Monifa Mortis giving so much amazing advice in your book. After reading the book you started doing webinars and I instantly signed up and was so excited I wanted to pay it forward and bought another one for you to gift to someone. You were so impressed with this that you actually called me and spoke to me. This absolutely floored me because I didn t think it was that big a deal. This gave me a deeper peek into how much you care about your students. I was so very touched that I knew I had to take your class and learn more from you. I had no clue just how much this class would change my life. There was a threat of a hurricane (Irene) during the class and I was 6 months pregnant. But nothing was going to stop me from coming to this class. Me and about 9 other students came each day and we built a bond that will never be broken. We learned so much during this workshop and heard from other great artists. This class helped us see that our wildest dreams are possible with strategic planning and determination. Since this class I have been able to assist amazing artists such as Renny Vasquez and Jenn Quinn. I have received a paid assisting job through an agency and I shot for Discover magazine (possibly landing the cover). I have raised my rates and gone from making around $200 or $300 for a wedding to making $1,000. I just finished the class 2 months ago (Aug 28 & 29, 2011) and I did all of this in my 3rd trimester. How much more can I do not pregnant? The world is my oyster and anything is possible and I have you to thank for showing me the world through your eyes. You are far more than a mere motivational speaker or teacher, you literally climb into our individual worlds and mentor us by intimately caring about us and giving us tough love when we need it. I have never met another person like you. Thank you for allowing God to use your life to reach so many. Successfully yours, Keisha Willis --Keisha Willis - Personal Letter Received
November 10, 2011 I am a hair stylist and recently I attended Crystal Wright s Packaging Your Portfolio Workshop in New York City. Before this workshop I had big dreams. I thought about doing hair for print, TV, etc.. but I didn t know the first thing to do to get there. A former PYP workshop grad recommended, If you want to make those dreams come true you have to attend Crystal s workshop. That workshop was the absolute most life changing experience. Not only are my dreams turning into a reality but also I have full control over my life. She not only told us what and how to reach our goals, but she continues to help us every day to reach them. She answers every email, or phone call with her honesty and her heart. She truly cares about every one of her students. I say over and over that attending that workshop was the best thing I ever did for my career and my life. I also started her new book 30 days at 100 Percent: Changing Your Life 30 Days at a Time, and boy does it work. I have made so many changes in my life that make me wake up and smile and stay focused every day. I can't put into words the impact her workshop had on my life, but I can tell you that I've never felt so sure of myself. I owe it all to Crystal Wright! Kristine Murillo --Kristine Murillo
