Jack Friedland served as an elementary school teacher for three years with the New York City Board of Education. He taught psychology at the City University of New York where he conducted experiments in learning and memory. He did research in neurophysiological psychology at the former New Jersey Neuropsychiatric Institute and lectured at Princeton University. He is the author of "Truths and Heresies: Reflections on Society and Life," and has given interviews, talks and seminars to the public, students and professionals.
