A native of southern California, Tom "Papa" Cantella was raised in a traditional Italian kitchen, enjoying sausage almost as far back as he can remember!
In the late 70s, Tom began making sausage at home for his family and friends. One thing led to another and in 1980, Tom founded Papa Cantella's Incorporated out of a desire to supply the southern California marketplace with that high quality fresh Italian sausage he remembered as a kid.
Papa Cantella's was the first sausage manufacturer in the country to be approved by the U.S.D.A. to use the term "All Natural" for their fresh Italian sausage. Quality products, high standards of operation, and a commitment to products free of preservatives and color enhancers have contributed to make Papa Cantella's a leader and an innovator in the sausage industry.
