This is a continuation of the saga of the Heath family of London from the beginning of WWII until its end, how we survived danger, separations and, inspite of it all, how we rebuilt our lives. This book gives a narrow, but personal account of my life surviving the war years when I was in my late teens and early twenties. It describes events of the war as seen through my eyes. I wrote this book at the urging of many readers of my previous book, A LEGACY OF SILENCE. "What happened next?" was an often asked question. What happened to my Mother who suffered from Post-Partum Depression? What was my sister's fate, 7 years my senior, my surragate mother and best friend? How were the relationships with my two brothers, Louis and Alexander, 16 and 18 years my senior resolved? This, then, is my attempt to answer those questions.
