About the Author:

PETER & ELLEN ALLARD draw on a rich tradition of musical experiences, presenting their lively and captivating performances for family audiences in secular and Jewish settings across the country. The Allards are both former early childhood educators, and have been musicians their entire lives; Ellen has been a pianist since age 5 and Peter has been in more bands than he can count! They met in 1994 and began performing together immediately, loving their work and each other, eventually marrying in 1996. They have 5 wonderful teens in a blended family, making their home in Worcester, MA. Peter & Ellen hope to share their love of children's music and singing to families in communities across the globe. Their award-winning recordings have captivated thousands of listeners since 1989 and are available at performances and via the internet. Their delightful CDs and cassettes include Sing it! Say it! Stamp it! Sway it! vols. 1 & 2, Raise the Children, Good Kid, and the 1998 Parents' Choice Recommended Sing Shalom: Songs for the Jewish Holidays. They have also published 2 song/activity books as part of the Sing it! Say it! Stamp it! Sway it! educational series. Peter is a graduate of Worcester State College, with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Music Education. Ellen is a graduate of Boston University, with a Bachelor's degree in Music. She earned her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education at Beaver College.
