About the Author:

Carolyn Katzin is a certified nutrition specialist with over twenty-five years of experience working in the field of nutrition and cancer. She is Integrative Oncology Specialist at the UCLA Simms/Mann Center for Integrative Oncology where she assists cancer patients and their families in optimizing wellness. She holds degrees in nutrition from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and King ' s College, University of London. In 2016 she completed a professional certification in genetics and genomics from Stanford University and she is also certified in nutrigenomics from UC Davis and the European Union s NuGO. Carolyn serves on the American Cancer Society national nutrition, physical activity and cancer control advisory group and has held leadership roles at state and local levels. She consults for the University Executive Physical Program at UCLA and is a regular speaker at UCLA s Annual Brain Tumor Conference and other oncology professional and patient education programs both internationally and nationally. She is a recognized expert in the field of nutrition and cancer.
