About the Author

Writer and speaker Henry J. Michel has compiled three books on Wright. His earlier California sites guide is replaced by this volume. In 1999 he published "Basic Frank Lloyd Wright," a compact biography of the architect, geared to the new Wright fan or the long-time devotee familiar with his works but not his personal life.

Michel has long been a volunteer docent/interpreter at several Wright house museums. He is familiar with what visitors want and need to know when visiting Wright buildings.
