About the Author

Dr. Tony Mack McClure, a native Tennessean and mixed-blood Cherokee is a certified member of the Native American Journalist's Association, Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers, Committeeman for the Tennessee Chapter of the National Trail of Tears Association, and frequent speaker before social, civic and student groups. For over 25 years, he has been the producer-director of Bill Dance Outdoors, the nation's highest-rated outdoors-oriented television program. The program airs twice each weekend on The Nashville Network. Tony's work has appeared in numerous magazines and 250 newspapers; on all four television networks and major cable systems.
