From War to Peace: The Story of Great Britain and the United States: Perhaps no better relations exist today among nations than those between Great Britain and the United States. Yet, back in the late 18th and early 19th centuries these countries fought two horrific wars against each other. Soldiers and civilians alike lost their lives in these conflicts. While the fighting ceased, the potential for future conflict continued to exist. This is an account of how Great Britain and the United States went from war to peace.
