They are gone, leaving behind ghostly traces of the past; whispers in the wind. Once Main Street of Fiddletown was a lively place, where hotels and saloons stayed open late into the night, and people representing the world's cultures encountered each other as they populated the foothills. Look beyond Main Street and you will find winding dirt roads following the contours of the hills and the streams. This is where people mined and made clearings in the wilderness to build their ranches and farms. Some old homesteads still stand. Others have folded back into the earth, destroyed by fire or time.
