We are all searching for something hold on to, something to have faith in, something to cherish, to trust, to value, something that gives meaning-true meaning-to our lives and to our everyday existence. We are all searching for Something To Believe In. As we venture out in search of this unifying belief, this intrinsic value in our lives, a curious dilemma confronts us. The word "value" comes form the Latin "valere", "to be vigorous, strong, capable...to be valid." It speaks to the inherent qualities found within the human individual. So where did we learn to turn outside ourselves in pursuit of this value? If we are looking outward in search of these qualities, are we not striking out? How can we expect to find this net worth anywhere other than within?About the Author:
