From Chapter 3: If you are planning a trip to the Las Vegas area, please keep in mind that rooms are much cheaper and easier to find Sunday through Thursday, with the slowest month being December and the busiest being March. From Chapter 5: Where else but in Las Vegas can you visit a Castle, a Pyramid, a Desert Oasis, New York, New Orleans, the Roman Empire, dragons, pirates and a 35-foot leprechaun, all within a 15-minute drive of each other. The 21 and older crowd can engage in nonstop nightclubs such as Club Rio, Drink!, Studio 54, Ra and Club Utopia. Spectacular shows including EFX at MGM, Splash at the Riviera, Legends in Concert at the Imperial Palace, Imagine at Luxor and Enter the Night at the Stardust are among many available 7 days a week, and on nights when shows are dark, many of the hotels offer headliner performances from some of todays hottest stars. Many of the hotels offer free entertainment, such as Merlin fighting off a fierce dragon at Excalibur, the circus acts at Circus Circus, an erupting volcano at the Mirage, and a full-fledged battle between the British and pirates at Treasure Island.
