From the Author:

This is an audio CD. I have composed art songs that have as their lyrics the Shakespeare sonnets, with no changes in text. I strived to convey the meaning of the words in the compositions and have arranged them for piano and voice to create an intimate musical setting. Passionate performances are given by three different vocalists. This collection is dedicated to Jennifer M.

About the Author:

You're already familiar with William Shakespeare. Here's a brief professional bio of Rich Caruso, composer of the music to which these sonnets are set:

Rich is a composer/musician living and working in the South Florida area for over two decades.

On Tuesday January 27,1998 Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese conducted the Symphony of the Americas in a concert featuring four of Rich's orchestrations. This was the second such concert. The first was in November of 1996, when three other original orchestrations were featured.
