About the Author

Judith Kolberg is one of the nation s foremost authorities on organization/ disorganization. She founded FileHeads Professional Organizers in 1989, among the first companies of its kind in the southeast. The National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization that Kolberg founded in 1992 has brought the benefits of organization to thousands of individuals challenged by disorganization. Her contribution to the field of professional organizing was acknowledged by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) when she received their prestigious Founders Award in 1996. Kolberg is a former Director of Professional Development for NAPO and has played a key role in the development of the industry s certification program. She is also a past President of the Georgia chapter of NAPO. Kolberg s groundbreaking books include Conquering Chronic Disorganization (Squall Press) that has also been published in Korean; and ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life (Routledge), co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Nadeau. The events of September 11, 2001 inspired her third book Organize for Disaster: Prepare Your Family and Your Home for Any Natural or Unnatural Disaster published in 2004 (Squall Press.) and she is a Community Emergency Response Team member. Her depth of experience and humorous delivery has made her a popular choice as a speaker and trainer for major corporations and international organizations. Kolberg resides in Atlanta. She is originally from Levittown, New York and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton.
