Review:

Short read, loaded with wisdom and utterly practical.

Many people spend a lifetime waiting for others to change or for the world around them to change. "The New, Updated How to Easily Handle Difficult People Handbook" brings the reader to the simple truth that we only get back what we put out. As the author points out, "If the other person is really the problem, wouldn't they be a problem for everyone?"

This book gave me a healthy shock to see how I've unconsciously provoked unhealthy responses from my family and from the sales clerk. After reading it, I felt a little more humble and not so eager to blame. The weight of resentment and irritation is heavy and not much fun. The tools are here to get those bricks off your back and to become a freer, lighter, happier human being. --Lisa Hunter

I've had great delight in reviewing Murray Oxman's books over the last 12 years. Murray let me be one of a few to constructively review his books. Boy was I lucky.

When Murray said he was updating "The How to Easily Handle Difficult People Handbook", I couldn't see how this gem of a book could be improved upon. Yet, his last days on the planet were spent refining this best seller. After reading it I was in awe. He took this book to new levels, making important points on how a self-examined life is so vital to healthy, happy relationships.

The new version is short and to the point, packed with uncommon ideas on handling difficult people. It has a bright spirit about it.

Murray once told me that the intention of this book is not to tell the reader how to act in each situation, but to encourage them to set out on their course of inner adventure. He said that each day we all have thousands of opportunities to transform our troubled relationships, but we miss most of them because we are simply looking the wrong way.

"The New, Updated How to Easily Handled Difficult People Handbook" is sure to become a classic. Hats off to you Mr. Oxman! --Steve Hunter

To my great advantage, I first read "The How to Easily Handle Difficult People Handbook" before it's publication in 1997. It was at this time I was fortunate enough to meet and work with Mr. Oxman on a daily basis. i'd not before met a man who more enthusiastically practiced what he preached. He was never at a loss of command for how to relate in any situation. Not command over other people, but command over his own reactions and the understanding of each unique event.

We've just finished editing the "New, Updated" version of this book and to my delight, with the additional insights, it has replaced the previous version as the ultimate authority on nice, functional relationships. Practicing these methods over the last 15 years has improved my life in every way. Problems with people no longer exist for me. I am forever greatful. Thank you Murray! --Gina Machovina, chief editor
