Collectives is a collection of 97 essays that were published in the Santa Ynez Valley News (in Santa Barbara County, Calif.) between 1996 and 1999.
Collectives contains spontaneous, stream of consciousness writings that offer an enchanting, integrated view of the world, a bridge connecting the inner and the outer, the local and the universal, the timely and the timeless. These rhythmic ramblings are upbeat and uplifting, informative and inspirational.Unlike most articles that appear in newspapers, these 800-1,000 word essays are not your typical who-what-where- why-when-type pieces that focus on some current event. Instead, they strive for a universality such that anyone who can read and understand English could read them, anywhere and at any time, and get something from them.
