From the Inside Flap:

IS LIFE A FORCE?

If life is a force, it must have determinable laws that govern its expression. Energy animates man's physical, mental and spiritual expressions of life. Science has discovered and applied physical laws that govern all forms of energy. Could these same laws also control the life and consciousness of man?

Man has learned how to direct electrical, chemical and atomic energy. As a result, science has given us all the conveniences of modern technology that we enjoy today. Is it possible, then, that ones own life can also be directed, regulated and controlled by law? If so, what are these laws? Could these laws, once discovered, be explained simply, so that anyone can learn to direct and change his or her life? Is it possible for one to learn how to create better health, greater freedom, mental control and peace within oneself?

Is there such a science as life engineering? Could such a science provide the missing, common denominator that would reconcile modern science with all the great philosophical and religious teachings? Can man understand life from these two seemingly different perspectives and see the oneness in all life?

If modern science and theology both agree that there is only one essential essence in the universe, why does man see himself separate from that oneness? Can man free himself from the illusionary world of separateness? Is it possible to open ones consciousness to perceive the entire cosmos, all of creation, from the scientific reality of oneness?

If you have ever asked yourself any of the above questions, then you are like Robert Casper, the main character in the book Life and Consciousness. During his long journey of investigation and contemplation, Robert satisfied his insatiable curiosity and came to an understanding of life that answered these questions and many more. Robert discovered who he really was, the purpose for his existence, his mission in life, and his destiny. He then knew that there was a science called life engineering and he was its first student.

About the Author:

John Robert Ench was born on November 11, 1920 in Kingston, New York. He attended Rolla School of Mines in Missouri. After graduating as an engineer, the author served his country from 1941 to 1953 as a commissioned officer in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was assistant area engineer in Bremen during the occupation of Germany. He studied advanced physics with USAFI in Heidelberg and received a Ph.D. in atomic physics. Upon his return to the United States, he served on the Atomic Energy Commission and was technical advisor to the commanding general for the defense of the greater New York area. Prior to his experience in 1960, he was the plant manager of the Eagle Engineering Company.

During April of 1960, Jack Ench had his first visionary experience of oneness. For ten days he entered into a state which he later called uniconsciousness. During these ten days, he was given instructions and an assignment that he was to carry out. He realized that to carry out this assignment, he had to accomplish three things: manifest the vision on the physical plane, write a book explaining how one can find a path to truth, and finally teach the philosophy of the one life.

The manifestation of the vision is EOWATA, the location of the International Headquarters of the Life Engineering Foundation. The book is Life & Consciousness and the philosophy is taught through Life Engineering instruction. For the past thirty years, Jack Ench has been teaching Life Engineering classes and seminars throughout Canada and the United States.
