I thought my work on Part IV complete ten years ago, but publication eluded me. Then correspondence with my old colleague, Aziz Nesin, stopped at his death five years ago. His work was finished, but mine had to continue until now all four parts of this biography of Nesin’s youth are complete..From the Author:

First, I wanted to present a slice of Turkish society of that particular period, from the framework of my life. From one point of view, these memoirs are a piece of the social topography of the Turkish society in the era in which I was raised. .
