About the Author

Danny T. Ferguson has been a criminal defense lawyer and public defender for 31 years. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corp, Mr. Ferguson graduated from East Carolina University and the University of Memphis School of Law. He lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his wife, Betty, and their two black labrador retrievers, Delilah and Abraham. Mr. Ferguson has a stepson, Fletcher Thompson who is a member of the United States Coast Guard.

The author maintains a waterfront home in Bath, North Carolina, the state's oldest town and near the ancient haunts of Blackbeard.
