He has worked in every aspect of psychiatry, and for nine years was the psychiatrist for the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital where he specialized in dealing with chronic pain and disability of unknown origin. He has also worked for over forty years in public schools and is known for this work all over the world. He is a board member of The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry founded and directed by Dr. Peter Breggin. This center is dedicated to bringing compassion and caring back into mental health and fighting against the overuse and inappropriate use of psychiatric drugs. Dr. Glasser teaches and lectures all over the world.
