Detailed descriptions and sketched "charts" of the entrances leading to towns and cities where moorage can be obtained. Safe transit of bars and timing of entrance s described in detail. A complete list of weather information is provided as well as telephone/fax numbers, email addresses and websites of marinas on the coast. In this edition the section dealing with San Francisco Bay has been enlarged so that boaters wishing to cruise the Bay have a description of all facilities that have transient moorage. The location of repair facilities and haul-out yards and where one can work on your own vessel are also given. This is a "must" for any vessel transiting the coast and the 16,000 copies that have been sold attest to its reliable reputation. The guide includes GPS waypoints for all offshore buoys but does not include channel routing since shoaling and changes in the best water frequently occur making such a reference out of date and dangerous.
