Curtis Vos was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. In the early nineties he made his way up to the North and has been there ever since. In addition to this book Curtis is the author and illustrator of Klondike Ho, a cartoon history of the great goldrush. Curtis likes nothing better than to head off into the Yukon wilderness and explore the rich history and naturalism. This book is the result of a three year oddessy of research, field work and design, done between bush work and odd jobs. Curtis Vos lives in a cabin near Whitehorse with his two dogs and is presently working up on a follow up to this book; The Yukon Naturalism Guide, an introduction to the plants, animals and geography of the Territory
