The time is the late twenty-second Century. The War of the Planets is still underway, with no end---or clear victor---in sight. Humanity's leaders, of course, announce great military gains being made, in a dozen star systems; even the President of Earth, once skeptical about the possibility of actually defeating the elusive race of Caprons, nows says it will all be over very soon. Needless to say, though, only the civilians believe him; out in the frontier of Space, where the shooting is going on, it's deadly business as usual, in this novel of non-stop, futuristic military action, suspense, quirky humor and complex characterization.
Will a ragtag and decidedly eccentric band of fighter pilots be able to save the day for all humankind? That's what High Command, Earth wants to know, as Lt. Commander Ted Voight and his Wolfpack Squadron, rocketing through the void in their sleek, deadly Wraith interceptors, confront not only Capron Remora ships, but the fugitive forces of a deadly band of mercenaries with their own ideas about winning the War. If that's not bad enough, Voight must also constantly oppose the strange machinations of Carbaron Base's commandant, Colonel Adofiss, who employs covert surveillance and a jackbooted squad of "Zebra" guards against The Wolfpack---when he isn't building something insidious, deep beneath their Base.
Sound like your typical Sci-Fi action? Not a chance! "Wolfpack Stories" combines action and escapism with great satire and witty dialogue.
So grab your gear and get ready to ride with the Wolfpack!
