Michael Zimmerle (Mick) grew up in the Mid-West in the 1950's. He taught elementary school for ten years. Mick then changed careers and worked for over twenty years as a computer programmer/analyst.
In 1993 he began writing children's books and took classes with "The Institute of Children's Literature".
