Certainly increasing one's golfing skills is satisfying and always challenging. But 90% of golfers shoot 100+. Few people have the time, money, and athleticism to perfect their game. But golf can be an immensely satisfying game even for the casual, occasional golfer.
We wanted to publish a book that looked at all the reasons to play golf and to continue to play for as long as one is able. We wanted to enhance the experience of golf for all golfers, from beginners to accomplished golfers. And we wanted to publish a book that illustrated the joys of golf that ordinary golfers can experience.
Not incidently, we also wanted to publish a beautiful book, beautiful in its layout and beautiful in the images of the game it was able to capture. It took time: three years all together. Three years to write the words, during which we spent a year collecting all the visual images that appear and a year to lay the book out graphically.
What we find as we've shown the book around is that people pick it up and page through it entranced. They say, "Uh huh, uh huh" as we talk about it, and continue to page through it. We hope that eventually they read it, because the authors have packed it with advice about how to enjoy the game no matter what one's skill level, size, age, or gender. The book succeeds, we think, in celebrating golf for the fun of it and golf for a lifetime.About the Author:
