Fritz Ottenheimer was born in Constance, Germany. In 1939, at age 14, he was able to immigrate to the United States with his family just before the beginning of World War II. After graduating from high school, he became a member of the U.S. Army and took part in the Allied drive across Germany at the end of the war. He completed his education after his return to civilian life and worked as a mechanical engneer until his retirement in 1987.Review:
