About the Author:

M. J. Alexander explores the people and places of the American West, combining the vision of an artist with the skills of a storyteller, according to the International Photography Hall of Fame. Her words and photographs have been featured in ten solo gallery shows since 2006; her lyrics and song cycles have been performed in the U.S. and abroad; she has won residencies from Hedgebrook and the American Press Institute. Alexander s work has been honored by the World Folkloric Photography Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Oklahoma Writers Federation and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
