This easy to use calendar is ideal for the person with some astrological knowledge, who would still like some strong hints about which days are especially good for them to get things done, and on what days to keep a low profile. It is a unique calendar because it can be personalized according to the reader’s Sun Sign, and if they know it, their Moon Sign.
Astrological Technical Notes of Interest from the Authors: The calendar format is designed to offer the reader a quick way to recognize easy and challenging days, beforehand. This is done in two ways:
First are the white circle and black box days. These are clear indicators to show times when the planets are either playing nicely (The White Circle Day) or else they’re banging their heads together (The Black Box Day).
The second method is through the placement of the ruling planets above and below the day numbers. This is unique among calendars in that it allows the reader to personalize the information based upon their own astrological information, most often their Sun Sign and if they know it, their Moon Sign. For example, on those days when Venus is shown above the day number the planet is forming very harmonious aspects. People born with the Sun (or Moon) in Venus ruled signs, Taurus and Libra, will find that their energy is more effective on those days. In comparison, if Venus is shown below the number, the aspects are more constructive and they can expect to run into more challenges on those days.
In the front section of the calendar is an extensive reference section that helps the reader fine tune their application of the information.
Some Improvements We Have Made: When we took over the authorship of the calendar we moved from the manual calculations used by the previous astrologers to computer-calculated figures. This allows us to compensate for global curve and resulting variations in latitude, as well as minor longitudinal variations, all through the use of complex logarithms. In that way we are able to produce very exact times. We have also added the retrograde and direct motions in the individual day blocks since this is especially helpful information.
In preparation for taking over the authorship of the calendar we thoroughly investigated the original forecasting model. While we have stayed with the original concept, we have incorporated interpretation material that includes the influence of the powerful Fixed Stars, the Essential Dignities and Receptions, as well as some advanced interpretational techniques that have been confirmed as important by modern statistical analysis. This gives the analysis of the calculations added depth and effectiveness that is in line with the methods currently used in world-class astrology.
Another way that the calendar is unique is that we prepare it as a couple, allowing us to consult and double check our work. We input the data and interpretations directly into the electronic Quark™ documents, working from the astrological calculations from the program Solar Fire™. This eliminates mistakes made in transcription from the hardcopy into typesetting, a common problem when handling astrological data.
