The authors met at a singles support group, Helpmates, in St. Joseph Michigan held at Trinity Lutheran Church. They each serve as facilitators leading group discussions and each submit original articles for the group's monthly newsletter. "Inspiration for the Solitary Heart" originated with these articles, which have been circulated throughout Southwest Michigan, and have been read nationally on their web site. The positive feedback on these articles encouraged Wendy, A. J. and Denise to publish this, their first book especially for singles.
Denise Tillman: A life-long resident of Southwest Michigan, Denise had always dreamed of being a writer, and after the breakup of her second marriage came the outpouring of writings that make up her work in "Inspiration for the Solitary Heart". She spend nearly five years building a full life as a single before recently remarrying. Her daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first child soon. Denise finished her bachelor's degree attending night classes, part of this time working two jobs, and now serves as Sales Director for a local utility supervising sales groups in Michigan and Colorado.
Wendy Joy: Wendy grew up on a farm in Michigan and is the mother of two sons. She is very active in her church, Grace Christian Center, singing and playing music for their worship team. Wendy continues to write inspirational stories for singles, and also enjoys composing original praise and worship songs. She works in a medical center in St. Joseph, and has a number of interests including quilting, gardening and dancing.
