Boomer's Worst Nightmare, Ike deals with the bulling problems being experienced by school-aged children of today, which is a very serious issue in the United States. The author tries to show children that they can face up to bullies without using guns. Ike is a bull dog. He has two friends, Beeper, a very smart little bird, and Boomer, a dog. The problem is that Ike keeps taking Boomer's food and Boomer is afraid of Ike. Boomer doesn't know what to do about it because he feels helpless. Boomer's friend Beeper sees that something is wrong because boomer is getting skinnier and he is sad all the time. Beeper helps Boomer by giving him some suggestions for taking care of Ike, the bully.

Aldora Larkins spent more than twenty years in the Air Force and retired as a master sergeant. During her military career she earned a two-year (associate degree) in nursing and an emergency medical technician (EMT) license. She also worked in aircraft avionics, communication, navigation, and radar systems as a supervisor. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and wants to continue writing children's books. She wishes that she could illustrate her books too.
