Meet Malaurie Barber!
Who am I? Good question.
Hmm, let's see. I have been writing professionally for a few years now as a reporter, but A Year in Paris was my first fictional story. I work full time as the editor and publisher of a theatrical magazine that I created in September 1999. I finally graduated in December 2000, and was I'm sooooooo ready for it.
Hey, I almost forgot a very important point -- I'm French. I moved to the United States 6 years ago as an au pair. My first few months were spent saying "Speak slowly, I don't understand." I guess high school English taught by a French teacher really doesn't prepare you for the real world!
I guess that's about it. Oh, wait, my hobbies include: writing (...duh!), kickboxing (I throw a mean punch), playing tennis, historical books, and theatre (favorite playwright: Stephen Dietz).
