About the Author

Doug Worgul is an editor and writer for Kansas City Star Books. He is a native of Michigan, where there is no barbecue, but now lives with his wife and daughters in Lenexa, where, during the third weekend in June, the sweet smoke from the Great Lenexa Barbeque Battles wafts gently through his backyard.
