Nine tales of mystery, comedy, and fantasy. They include a manipulator at a department store; a meddling sap who seeks to change lives; a folklore professor in denial about a zombie outbreak; the kidnapping of a portly filmmaker from a big and tall store; a psychology student's efforts to debunk a composer's delusions; a bitter custodian turning into what he hates; actors at a screenplay reading becoming the characters they portray; a commuter's subtle heroism; and office politics that lead to murder at a Nordic Studies Department.
