About the Author

Barry Panter, MD is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. Prior to his retirement from clinical practice he was a Training and Supervising Analyst of The Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute and The Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles; Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at USC School of Medicine; Co-editor and co-author of Creativity and Madness Volume 1 and 33 Poems for Mary Lou. He currently is the director of the Creativity and Madness Conferences.
