About the Author
Chief FAMA has written several books on Ifá and the Òrìsà. Her first book, Fundamentals of the Yorùbá Religion: Ifá / Òrìsà Worship, has been received well globally. She is well qualified to write on the religion and the culture of the Yorùbá. She was born in Emùré Ilé, Ondó State, Nigeria into the Yorùbá culture.
In Nigeria, Chief FAMA studied Ifá with renown Babaláwo: Chief Oyèésànyà and Baba Òkémúyìíwá Akíny mil². Chief FAMA was initiated in Ayétòrò, Øgbádò in Ogun State by Chief ’Fágbèmí Òjó Àlàbí. Chief FAMA is a pioneer member of Òrúnmìlà Youngsters International, a trailblazing organization which publishes Orúnmìlà Magazine.
Chief FAMA is married to Chief Ifábowálé Sohma Somadhi and is the mother of four children all of whom are Ifá initiates. She has earned a BA degree in English from California State University at San Bernardino and is currently working toward the Masters of Arts degree in Communication/TESL.Review:
