The Preschooler's Guide to Denver helps parents and teachers of small children get out to experience Denver. It offers snappy site descriptions and practical information about the best places to visit with kids under the age of 6.
More than just a guide book, it also describes the importance of experiential learning during the early years. Enrichment activity ideas compliment the outing descriptions.
This book is a must for anyone with little kids who is living in or traveling to Denver.

When the idea for The Preschooler's Guide to Denver came to us at Lil' Pardner Press, we jumped on it. We knew from personal experience how handy it would be to have an easy to use guide to the best places in Denver to take little kids.
We also knew there was no other book like this out there for new parents. All the other Denver guides for kids were for school-aged children. So when Carolyn proposed having a special at-a-glance section for each site that listed important features like diaper-decks, we had to publish this book!
The Preschooler's Guide to Denver is focused (only those places appropriate for kids age 0 to 6 are covered), practical (every site is field tested by preschoolers, parents, and teachers), and easy to use.
In short, we knew this book was a sure hit. Enjoy it, and enjoy getting out with your little ones! From the Author:
This book was born as I strolled through Belleview Park with a friend and our collection of toddlers. The kids were having a grand time not only on the playground, but also riding the pretty little train and playing with the animals at the petting farm.
As a free-lance travel writer, I often write articles about the places we visit. That day I was struck by what a shame it would be if some mom or dad, new to town, never heard about Belleview Park and missed the experience with their little ones. I decided to write up Belleview Park. Then, that evening as I sorted socks, I thought of writing a book of the best places for preschoolers.
In writing it, I tried to include things I'd want to know when going on outings with my kids. I wanted to make it easy to use and helpful. (And I couldn't resist including some educational stuff from my school-teacher days.)
I hope you like it and find it useful and that it inspires you to get out and discover Denver with your little ones. Have a great time!
