The digits "911" automatically evoke fear in people. You dial 911 when you’re in trouble. And since the September 11 terrorist attacks leveled the twin towers of New York’s World Trade Center, 9-11 has taken on another, terrible meaning.
This book provides a whole new outlook on this sequence of numbers. It shows how these three little numbers can bring peace to your life amid tragedy. The answer is found in Psalm 91:1, the only 91:1 in the Bible. This Scripture states: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Simply put, if you seek God, He will comfort and protect you. He will be your security blanket. In fact, this message is found throughout Psalm 91.
That is why it is so important to seek 91:1. You must come to God. Let Him be your shelter in the midst of trouble. Let Him be your strength, your comfort, your joy, your peace after the 9-11 tragedy or during any other. Now is the time to get "the real message" behind 911.

The Message Chapter One
9-11: A date that will forever remind us of a series of unparalleled events, when the two World Trade Center towers, the heart of the New York financial district, were leveled to the ground. Thousands of tons of twisted steel created the largest, costliest burial ground in America’s history. Not because of the towers’ financial significance, but because in its ashes lay the remains of thousands of people whose potential contributions, passions, talents and gifts to their families, the society in which they lived and the world could never be replaced. Grief was shared around the world and fear seized us!
As I sat at my desk performing my routine morning tasks and duties, I heard over the radio that the World Trade Center had been hit by a plane. In disbelief I sat and listened to the drama that was repeated over and over again. Before that news could settle (as much as it could), the horror was perpetuated—another hit, the other tower. The reality struck a horrific blow: we were under attack. But, how could it be, in America?
Terrorism, the unthinkable, deep in the heart of the United States — New York City. Immediately, we were released from work. When I arrived home, I turned on the television and watched in total disbelief.
Devastating scenes were being projected twenty-four hours a day on every news station for seven days and nights. Images of people jumping to their death from elevated floors in the Trade Center were gruesome. We saw wounded people, covered with dust and soot, wandering about lower Manhattan. What a message: Be afraid—be very afraid. And, for a moment we were.
It was then that the Lord showed me the message within the message that I hadn’t seen on my own. "9-11" was on the television screen and in the newspapers but every time I looked at it I saw 91:1. The first time I saw it I said, "What?" Then the Lord said, "Get your Bible. Turn to the Psalms." I had long ago committed those verses to memory; but then the Lord showed me something. There is only one 91:1 in the Bible and it is in the book of Psalms. Powerful! All these years we associated 911 with trouble. When in trouble, make the distress call, dial 911. Isn’t this just like God to have an answer thousands of years before the question is asked?
When in trouble we should seek or call 91:1—the divine version, that is.
