John Sawyer holds a Masters degree in international relations, is multi-lingual, was a specialist in South East Asian studies and was a former consultant on counter terrorism. His operational experience includes service as a paratrooper in a U.S. Army LRSD (long range surveillance detachment) and a sniper on an east coast SWAT. He keeps a vacation home in a South-East Asian country not untouched by terrorist cells, where he will soon retire. To protect his family from future targeting he authors and copyrights under several pseudonyms. He currently lives in New Hampshire with his wife Lauren, three children and dog Ranger. When he's not writing, he spends his time growing rare orchids at home or sailing and SCUBA diving at Newport, Rhode Island.
