Richard Taylor is a professor of English at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky. In 1999, he was selected as Kentucky's Poet Laurate for a two-year term. He has won two creative writing fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and has had numerous historical works published.
