"Silent Glory" is a collection of powerful and dramatic black and white photographs that give the reader exclusive images of life and activities of Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians while on duty in their stations, enroute, and at fire/emergency scenes.
Because the photographer/author wanted the images to speak for themselves, brief text is used only to introduce the various chapters. It also influenced the choice of title for the work.
The book was produced as a timeless tribute that honors all gallant Firefighters and EMT's of America

Photo-journal photographer Pete Knudsen lived for almost nine months with a Fire Department to record the poignant images that reflect the lives and activities of today's firefighters and emt's while in their stations, enroute and at the fire and emergency medical calls.
By living with the brotherhood and being accepted into the family, his documentary photographic work offers views rarely seen by civilians. The tragic events of 9/11 came mid-project and brought a new dimension to the impact of the images.
Mr. Knudsen specializes in extensive photo-journal projects for various organizations, groups, companies and corporations. He resides near Weston, TX
