Waiting For The Mothership

9780972791915: Waiting For The Mothership

This is the second edition of Waiting For The Mothership. In this edition the original paperpack is edited, expanded, and illustrated. Waiting For The Mothership is the story of a cynical and bitter man who is convinced that someone, out there, will be coming to liberate him from a harsh and pitiless world. Written in the first person, present tense, you read the story as if you are hearing his thoughts. Often the character seems to be preaching, while other times he seems to simply ramble. As the story progresses you begin to wonder, along with the main character, what is real and what is delusion. It is a story of abandonment, adventure, and the struggle with the paradoxes of humanity. In the end, it seems that it is the delusions that reveal to him the true meaning of life and the error of his ways. Or does it?

About the Author:

Ronny Cox is a writer, musician, and graphic designer. Born in Lodi, California, in 1958, a true creative, Ronny has written many unpublished songs and stories. Living in Key West, Florida, and Mendocino County, California, Ronny has lived in those places where the quirky wandering souls of this world tend to gravitate, and so he has a deep sense of the longings and ironic qualities of the side of humanity that is in continual search for something more — something better than where we are and what we have. He has made friends of bums and billionaires along the way, but still has not found that destination or satisfaction of success. It is the journey — that wondrous journey of exploration and the search for kindred spirits that is Ronny's life.
