Author: Susan Devenyi lives in Waterloo with her husband and three children. Now focused primarily on her writing, she previously worked for the Metropolitan Toronto Separate School Board for over 10 years teaching primary, junior and special education students. The inspiration behind her stories is based on her experiences as a teacher and as a mother. This is her 2nd book in the "Leonard" series. Her first, "Leonard the Ladybug" was written to raise money for Rigatoni for Research, an organization dedicated towards finding a cure for brain tumors in children.
Illustrator:Mary Devenyi graduated as a graphic artist from the College of Fine Art in Budapest. Living in Canada since 1957, her work concentrated mostly on drawings and etchings. she has exhibited her work widely. In 1983 she received a special citation from the Canadian Ambasssador to Hungary. Having been a miniature book collector for many years she produced her first miniature book in 1995 under the Beaux Art Publishing label entitled "Graphics", showing samples of her artwork. Since then she has hand bound numerous miniature books that feature her artwork and she has been honoured with awards for her work by the Miniature Book Society.
