I was once a pre-law student myself, and found that good pre-law advising was not always easy to come by. After law school, I became a practicing attorney in a college town, and discovered that a lack of high-quality pre-law advising led many pre-law applicants to come to me for advice. It did not take long for me to learn that most fell into the same traps: applying to law school for the wrong reasons, failing to put forth the strongest possible application, and choosing the wrong schools to which to apply. I became a pre-law advisor to help applicants avoid those pitfalls. For over 15 years, I have enjoyed working with applicants and law school admission personnel, learning how best to answer the dozens of questions applicants do--or should--ask. Today, when competition for a seat in a law school class is unusually high, applicants need these answers more than ever. As one admissions director recently said to me, "The difference between a successful law school applicant and one who is disappointed is in how well they follow the advice of a highly competent pre-law advisor." Since not everyone is fortunate enough to have ready access to such advisors, I wrote this book to serve in their stead. I have seen the advice in this book work for countless law school applicants. I am confident that it will work for you.About the Author:
